We're growing our commercial team and looking for an Account Executive ready to take the next step in their career in a mission-driven organisation. You will carry your own quota, and manage mid-market and growth accounts end-to-end.
If you have 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, an interest in infrastructure, energy, or sustainability, and the drive to sell a technically sophisticated product in a fast-moving startup environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for mid-market and growth accounts, from outbound prospecting through demo, proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities within infrastructure, energy, financial sector, and climate adjacent sectors.
- Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations, building a clear picture of each prospect's risks and business priorities.
- Translate Mitiga's climate-risk capabilities into concrete value for operational, risk, and sustainability teams.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and CEO Office to support partner and strategic accounts.
- Work closely with Marketing and BDR functions to convert inbound leads and build outbound campaigns.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data, activity tracking, and forecasting in the CRM.
- Feed market and customer insights back to Product and Science teams.
- Stay current on developments in climate-risk regulation, energy transition, and infrastructure resilience.
What We're Looking For
We are open to a range of backgrounds. What matters most is commercial drive, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in climate or infrastructure.
Strong candidates typically come from one of:
- 5 years in a quota-carrying AE or senior SDR/BDR role at a tech or data company, ideally selling to technical or operational buyers.
- a commercial or client-facing role at an energy company, engineering consultancy, or infrastructure services firm, now looking to move into a pure sales seat.
- commercial experience at an ESG advisory firm, climate tech startup, or sustainability platform, especially if you have dealt with corporate or asset-owner clients.
- 4 years in a strategy, risk, or infrastructure consulting practice and ready to transition into a revenue-generating role.
Core requirements:
- 5 years in B2B sales or a commercial client-facing role; at least 1 year carrying a quota.
- Demonstrable ability to run a structured sales process: discovery, qualification, demo, objection handling, close.
- Comfortable selling to technical stakeholders (engineers, risk analysts, operations teams) as well as business buyers.
- Self-starter who can manage their own pipeline without heavy hand-holding.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English (other European languages, a plus).
- Genuine curiosity about climate risk, energy, infrastructure, or sustainability.
- Comfortable in an early-stage company where processes are still being built.
