About the Role:

Crusoe is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our growing Project Engineering team. This role will focus specifically on the power generation aspects of our large-scale data center projects and digital flare mitigation projects, encompassing electrical and mechanical systems. You will play a critical role in the planning, design, execution, and commissioning of power generation systems, ensuring reliable and efficient power delivery to our data centers. This position requires a strong understanding of power generation technologies, mechanical engineering principles, and project management methodologies.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Support the Project Engineering team in the development and execution of power generation projects, from concept to commissioning.

  • Contribute to the design and specification of power generation systems, including generators, switchgear, transformers, piping systems, heat exchangers, pumps, and associated auxiliary systems.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering firms, contractors, and vendors, to ensure project success.

  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and analyses related to power systems, including load flow studies, short circuit analysis, and protective device coordination.

  • Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.

  • Monitor project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

  • Support the commissioning and testing of power generation systems, ensuring proper operation and performance.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and best practices in power generation.

  • Contribute to the development of engineering standards and procedures.

  • Foster a safe and collaborative work environment.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Construction Engineering or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in power generation project engineering, preferably in large-scale projects.

  • Strong understanding of power generation technologies, including turbine generators, diesel generators, natural gas generators, and renewable energy sources.

  • Extensive experience with rotating equipment, specifically aeroderivative or industrial turbines.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ANSI)

  • Proficient project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience with site supervision and construction management is a plus.

  • Experience in data center power and mechanical systems is a plus.

  • Ability to travel as needed.
