Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.

Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About This Role:

Join Crusoe as a Mid-Career Manufacturing Engineer and play a key role in the optimization and support of our production facilities. While our design teams create the 3D models for modular integrated electronics buildings and power distribution equipment, you will focus on how these products are built.

This role serves as the vital link between engineering design and the factory floor. You will be responsible for designing efficient plant layouts, driving throughput optimization, and providing daily production support to ensure we meet our manufacturing goals with safety and precision. You will participate actively in the product lifecycle, providing manufacturability feedback to design teams and implementing continuous improvements on the line.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Plant Layout & Process Optimization: Design and update manufacturing floor layouts to optimize material flow, maximize space utilization, and ensure safe operator movements.

  • Throughput Optimization: Analyze production data and perform time studies to identify bottlenecks; implement process improvements to balance assembly lines and increase overall facility throughput.

  • Optimization & Metrics: Identify opportunities for improvements in First Pass Yield (FPY) and Overall Process Effectiveness (OPE).

  • Capacity Planning: Assist in calculating production capacity and resource requirements to support scaling operations for high-volume manufacturing.

  • DFMA & NPI: Participate in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) reviews, providing feedback from the factory floor to simplify assembly and drive cost reductions.

  • Work Instructions: Develop and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions to ensure consistent quality across production teams.

  • Tooling & Fixturing: Identify, design, and procure manufacturing aids, jigs, and fixtures to improve ergonomics, safety, and efficiency.

  • Production Support & Quality: Resolve manufacturing issues in real-time and lead root cause analysis for defects or process deviations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency enhancements across the manufacturing department.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a complex assembly or electromechanical environment.

  • CAD Proficiency: Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software (SolidWorks, SketchUp) for creating plant layouts and fixture designs.

  • Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and their application.

  • Materials & Assembly: Knowledge of metal fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly processes.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to solve manufacturing problems utilizing a first principles approach and data-driven analysis.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8 hours or more daily to support floor operations.

  • Safety and Compliance: This position is designated a safety-sensitive position and/or is located in a safety-sensitive facility. Drug and alcohol program participation is required.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Plant Simulation analysis to model workflow and throughput.

  • Green Belt or Black Belt Six Sigma certification.

  • Experience using Material Requirements Planning (ERP/MRP) software to manage BOMs and work orders.

  • A strong drive to identify and continually improve manufacturing processes.

Benefits:

  • Industry competitive pay

  • Restricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology company

  • Health insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents

  • Employer contributions to HSA accounts

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Teladoc

  • 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salary

  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule

  • Cell phone reimbursement

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Subscription to the Calm app

  • MetLife Legal

  • Company paid commuter benefit; $300/month

Compensation Range:

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $99,000 - $110,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
