Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

As our Senior Director of Product Marketing, you are a hands-on technical leader who thrives at the intersection of product, engineering, and market strategy. You don’t just synthesize what others tell you about the product—you form your own perspective on its strengths, gaps, and opportunities by getting close to the technology. You have a deep understanding of AI-native companies and the practitioners who build on cloud infrastructure, and you bring a proven ability to engage technical audiences with credibility and impact.

This role carries a critical mandate: be the voice of the customer. You will bring an outside-in perspective to our product and go-to-market strategy—surfacing what customers need, where the market and competition are heading, and identifying opportunities for Crusoe to differentiate and win. Your insights will directly influence product roadmap decisions and shape how we position ourselves in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Equally important, you are a skilled cross-functional operator. You will build deep credibility with product management, engineering, and sales leadership, and serve as marketing’s authoritative voice in strategic conversations. You partner closely with these teams—not just to support their plans, but to help shape them. You thrive in a truth-seeking culture, leverage data to bring clarity, and create differentiated messaging and positioning that sets Crusoe apart.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Voice of the Customer & Market Intelligence
    • Own the outside-in perspective for Crusoe Cloud: deeply understand customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends to surface differentiation opportunities that inform product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
    • Build and maintain a continuous feedback loop with customers, prospects, and the field to translate real-world signals into actionable insights for product, engineering, and sales leadership.
    • Develop and lead competitive intelligence efforts—monitoring the AI infrastructure landscape, benchmarking Crusoe’s capabilities, and arming the organization with clear, evidence-based competitive narratives.

Technical Depth & Product Expertise

  • Get hands-on with Crusoe Cloud products to develop a first-person understanding of product capabilities, strengths, and gaps. Form and defend your own informed perspective—don’t rely solely on secondhand briefings.
  • Define and articulate compelling product messaging and positioning grounded in genuine technical understanding. Craft value propositions that resonate with AI developers, ML engineers, and infrastructure practitioners.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, differentiated narratives that connect to real customer outcomes.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Advocacy

  • Serve as marketing’s authoritative voice with product management, engineering, and sales stakeholders. Build credibility quickly by demonstrating technical fluency, customer empathy, and strategic rigor.
  • Partner closely with product leadership to establish a shared understanding of customer needs and influence roadmap priorities with data-driven, market-informed recommendations.
  • Advocate for marketing’s point of view in cross-functional forums—contributing substance, not just support—to ensure customer and market realities are reflected in product and GTM decisions.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Develop field enablement assets that drive consistency and help the sales team scale—including pitch decks, competitive materials, technical briefs, and customer case studies.
  • Partner with demand generation to develop and execute campaigns that drive product awareness, engagement, and adoption among AI-native companies and technical audiences.
  • Grow and lead the product marketing organization by hiring exceptional marketers who combine marketing expertise with deep technical skills, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and execution excellence.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • 12+ years of product marketing experience, with 7+ years in a leadership role managing teams of senior marketers.
  • Demonstrated track record of engaging deeply technical audiences (AI/ML practitioners, cloud infrastructure engineers) with measurable impact on awareness, adoption, or pipeline.
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of AI and cloud infrastructure—you can credibly discuss GPU clusters, model training workflows, inference optimization, and cloud networking with engineers and product managers.
  • Proven experience bringing outside-in customer and market insights to influence product strategy and roadmap—not just packaging what product ships, but shaping what gets built.
  • Strong track record of building cross-functional credibility with product management, engineering, and sales leadership in fast-moving technical organizations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. High EQ with the ability to navigate ambiguity, organizational complexity, and competing priorities.
  • Strategic thinker who executes with precision—comfortable operating at both the 30,000-foot level and in the tactical details.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments—ideally at an AI-native company, hyperscale cloud provider, or infrastructure startup.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-functioning, bar-raising product marketing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is strongly preferred.
  • An MBA with a marketing concentration is also strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience marketing to AI/ML practitioners or developer audiences, with demonstrated ability to earn credibility with deeply technical stakeholders.
  • Experience at companies where product marketing played a strategic, roadmap-influencing role—not just a launch support function.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and equity packages
  • Restricted Stock Units
  • Paid time off, paid holidays & leave of absence programs
  • Comprehensive health, dental & vision insurance
  • Employer contributions to HSA account
  • Paid parental leave
