Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

We're looking for a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our team at our Sparks, NV data center. In this role, you'll own the physical infrastructure that keeps our AI compute environment running at peak performance — from mechanical and electrical systems to HVAC, cooling, and building management. You'll partner closely with data center operations, construction, and energy teams to ensure our facility meets the demanding uptime and efficiency standards our customers depend on.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and wants to be on the front lines of AI infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Own day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance of all facility systems including electrical distribution (UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators), HVAC, cooling/chiller plants, and building management systems (BMS)

  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs; track and resolve facility work orders through completion

  • Monitor facility health via DCIM and BMS platforms; identify anomalies and respond rapidly to minimize downtime

  • Partner with construction and capital projects teams on facility expansions, retrofits, and equipment upgrades — including scope development, vendor coordination, and commissioning

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes including NEC, OSHA, and applicable fire/life safety regulations

  • Maintain critical documentation including single-line diagrams, equipment logs, maintenance records, and SOPs

  • Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance, inspections, and emergency response

  • Support capacity planning efforts by tracking power, cooling, and space utilization

  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support 24/7 critical facility operations

  • Champion a culture of safety by enforcing lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety protocols

What We're Looking For
Required

  • 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering, data center operations, or critical infrastructure environments

  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems (medium and low voltage), UPS/PDU systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches (ATS)

  • Experience with mechanical/cooling systems including CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water plants, cooling towers, and precision air systems

  • Familiarity with BMS/DCIM platforms for monitoring and control

  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, OSHA)

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and sound judgment under pressure

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience in hyperscale or colocation data center environments

  • Familiarity with DCIM tools (e.g., Sunbird, Nlyte, or similar)

  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training

  • Experience with commissioning (Cx) and integrated systems testing (IST)

  • Knowledge of energy efficiency practices in data center environments (PUE optimization, free cooling, etc.)
