What you will do:

Electra is seeking an experienced, licensed Electrician to conduct electrical installations, maintenance and troubleshooting across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Install, maintain, and repair high and low voltage electrical systems, equipment, and components, including motors, controls, transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, switches, and Automation Systems
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair processes, ensuring all work adheres to technical specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems and equipment malfunctions using advanced testing devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers to identify root causes and implement effective solutions quickly and safely
  • Assist in developing and executing preventive maintenance programs and schedules for industrial equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize unexpected failures
  • Strictly adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes (e.g., National Electrical Code - NEC) as well as company standards, safety protocols, and regulations, including OSHA guidelines and NFPA 70E Arc Flash safety standards
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations personnel, and other tradespeople to support equipment commissioning and equipment upgrades
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electricians and apprentices
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Participate in safety audits, preventative maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives

What we need you to bring to the team:

  • Valid active and in-good-standing Journeyman or Master Electrician license or certification in the state of Colorado
  • 7+ years of proven experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of NEC codes electrical safety, and best practices
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
  • Proven problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong commitment to safety culture and adherence to safety protocols
  • Experience with motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems preferred
  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours for emergency maintenance or commissioning activities
  • Completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways, leveraging in-depth experience
  • Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative, and understands implications of work to make recommendations for solutions
  • Encounters problems that are varied and non-routine, requiring basic problem-solving techniques to clearly identify and resolve issues
  • Scope of impact includes department and team level, with potential influence on related activities outside of immediate work area
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may serve as an informal team leader by coaching or mentoring junior employees without direct supervisory responsibilities
  • Interprets and explains data or information to deliver messages to audiences who may not be knowledgeable about the subject matter

Compensation:

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $38-$49 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
