Position Overview
The Data Analyst, Fleet Change Management will play a critical role in continuous device and circuit level optimization to keep the overall fleet healthy, efficient, and scalable.
You’ll apply change-management principles and conduct regression analysis to understand how devices behave in the field, forecast performance, and guide decisions around firmware updates, configuration changes, and fleet-wide behaviors. This is a highly cross-functional role that blends technical analysis with operational execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single threaded owner of all fleet change management, balancing the cross-functional device performance and capability requirements while minimizing regressions in device health
  • Develop and refine regression and diagnostic models to identify drivers of device degradation, connectivity issues, and environmental dependencies.
  • Create repeatable change-management frameworks to measure, validate, and control updates across thousands of IoT devices.
  • Lead over-the-air (OTA) firmware and configuration update strategies — including impact forecasting, validation, and rollback modeling.
  • Partner with engineering and operations to evaluate proposed hardware or firmware changes through controlled experiments and regression-based impact analysis.
  • Track and communicate key fleet-health metrics, surfacing insights that inform product improvements and operational decision-making.
  • Act as the technical point-of-contact for field performance, driving data-backed recommendations that keep uptime near 99%.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 3+ years in a data-focused role (Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer)
  • Strong background in data analysis, including regression analysis, statistical evaluation, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with change management practices, including impact assessment, documentation, and communication workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, dashboards, or similar analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making.

Bonus Skills

  • Applied regression, A/B testing, and causal inference in real-world systems
  • Experience automating data workflows or supporting large-scale distributed systems
  • Knowledge of matched-pairs experimentation and predictive modeling techniques
  • Excited about sustainability, clean tech, or energy analytics initiatives
