About Jetson:
Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.
Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, yet adoption of solutions like heat pumps remains slow due to cost and complexity. Jetson is solving this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company — making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.
We rely heavily on technology, automation, and data to scale this impact. At Jetson, we value people who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.
The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a product leader to define and drive Jetson’s Energy Systems strategy — spanning home battery storage, EV charging, smart electrical panels, and V2X. You’ll own the product vision and roadmap for an entirely new product line, taking it from zero to market. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, software, energy markets, and field operations, with a mandate to make Jetson the trusted platform for whole-home electrification.
What You'll Do:
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Jetson’s Energy Systems portfolio — battery, EV charger, smart panel, V2X — and the integrated software that orchestrates them
- Lead the full product lifecycle from market evaluation and vendor selection through requirements, prototyping, pilot programs, and scaled launch
- Design how energy products work together as a system — load management, backup power, time-of-use optimization — not just as individual SKUs
- Evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner for each product category, managing OEM relationships and technology integrations
- Serve as Jetson’s expert on the residential energy systems landscape: competitors, regulations, utility programs, interconnection requirements, and evolving standards (OCPP, IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR)
- Partner across Engineering, Design, Operations, Field Teams, and the Energy Markets team to ensure every product is installable, serviceable, and grid-services ready from day one
- Define pricing, bundling, and rebate strategies that make Energy Systems products compelling for homeowners
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time bringing physical energy or electrification products to market (battery storage, EV charging, smart panels, solar inverters, or similar)
- Deep understanding of how residential energy systems actually work in a home — batteries, inverters, panels, chargers, and grid interconnection
- Strong product principles: you can make disciplined prioritization decisions, write clear requirements, and articulate what makes a great product
- Experience taking a product from zero to one — you’ve defined a new product line, not just iterated on an existing one
- Comfort operating across hardware and software, with enough technical fluency in embedded systems, connectivity protocols, and cloud platforms to make informed tradeoffs
- Experience with modern tools, including AI, to automate and make your day more efficient
Nice to Have:
- Direct experience with UL/CSA certification, NEC code, or utility interconnection agreements for residential energy products
- Familiarity with V2X standards and the evolving regulatory landscape around bidirectional charging
- Background in a vertically integrated company where you’ve worked across hardware, software, and field operations
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
