About the Role:
We're an early-stage distributed solar energy company heading toward Series B, and we're looking for a data-driven Head of Growth Marketing to build and scale our customer acquisition engine from the ground up. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives on consumer psychology, performance marketing, and building repeatable systems that drive sustainable growth.
Lemon Energy connects Brazilian consumers to remote solar farms, allowing them to save on electricity bills without installing panels. Your challenge: make distributed solar understandable, trustworthy, and irresistible to everyday Brazilians—while balancing consumer demand with supply-side capacity as we expand geographically.
What You'll Own:
- Build and lead our consumer acquisition strategy across all channels (paid digital, content, partnerships, referral programs);
- Be hands-on: you'll launch campaigns, write copy, optimize landing pages, and analyze performance yourself;
- Develop consumer education campaigns that demystify distributed solar and build trust;
- Design and optimize our conversion funnel from awareness through to activated, bill-saving customers;
- Own CAC, conversion rates, LTV, and payback metrics—accountable for efficient, scalable growth;
- Collaborate with Operations to align marketing with solar capacity and geographic expansion;
- Build and lead a growth marketing team as we scale;
- Implement analytics infrastructure that tracks cohort performance and informs channel allocation.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years in consumer growth marketing with at least 2 years leading marketing teams (fintech, proptech, edtech, or marketplace experience strongly preferred);
- Early-stage DNA: you've thrived in startup environments where you built from scratch, wore multiple hats, and drove measurable impact with limited resources;
- Hands-on operator: you're equally comfortable setting strategy and executing tactical work—whether that's building landing pages, running ads, writing copy, or diving into spreadsheets;
- Proven track record of scaling consumer acquisition programs in products that require education or behavior change (please share specific CAC, conversion rate, and LTV metrics);
- Deep expertise in performance marketing, marketing analytics, and conversion funnel optimization across digital channels (paid social, search, content, referral programs);
- Strong analytical skills—you're comfortable with data, can build cohort models, understand unit economics, and let metrics guide decisions;
- Experience managing and optimizing CAC and LTV across multiple channels, with a track record of improving payback periods;
- Consumer education mindset: you know how to take complex products and make them accessible, trustworthy, and compelling to mainstream audiences;
- Geographic expansion experience: bonus if you've launched and scaled in multiple cities/regions sequentially;
- Track record of collaborating effectively with Operations and Product teams to align marketing with capacity, customer experience, and business constraints;
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM systems, analytics tools, and building marketing infrastructure from scratch;
- Brazilian market fluency: understanding of regional differences, consumer behavior, and local digital channels;
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration cycles—you thrive when the playbook doesn't exist yet.
Success in Your First Year:
- Establish a predictable, scalable customer acquisition engine with clear unit economics across channels;
- Launch and optimize consumer education campaigns that measurably improve understanding and trust in distributed solar;
- Successfully expand into 2-3 new geographic markets with repeatable playbooks for regional launch;
- Build and develop a high-performing growth marketing team with clear roles, processes, and performance standards;
- Implement attribution and analytics infrastructure that provides clear visibility into cohort performance, channel ROI, and customer journey;
- Achieve target CAC and LTV ratios that support sustainable growth toward Series B metrics;
- Establish feedback loops with Operations to ensure marketing pacing aligns with solar capacity and customer experience quality.
