About Milvus

Milvus Advanced is redefining materials science by replacing expensive, scarce elements (e.g., indium, gold, iridium, platinum) with high-performance, earth-abundant nanoalloys and functional materials. We have built a discovery and scale-up platform that turns deep chemistry into manufacturable products for energy, optoelectronics, and chemical manufacturing.

As critical minerals take centre stage geopolitically, we ask: what happens when key elements are constrained or run out? Rather than only optimising today’s devices, we pursue transformational substitutions i.e., reducing dependence on fragile supply chains and rare elements by creating new, lab-made materials that are abundant, affordable, and sustainable.

Our technologies aim to:

  • Reduce dependence on rare/critical metals
  • Improve device efficiency, stability, and manufacturability
  • Enable affordable, scalable next-gen materials and devices
  • Accelerate the clean-tech transition

We are backed by leading global investors and are scaling rapidly from lab breakthroughs to real-world products. We have validated PGM-substitution materials and are now extending our platform into optoelectronics.

The Role

Commercial generalist to fill the funnel, move deals forward, and keep the machine humming. You will split your time across outbound sales, customer ops, light marketing, and day-to-day company ops. Perfect for a sharp self-starter who wants to learn deep tech from the inside and grow fast.

Location: Oxford & London

What you will do

  • Prospect & qualify: Research target accounts, build lists, craft outreach (email/LinkedIn), book intro calls, keep CRM spotless.
  • Sales enablement: Prepare decks/one-pagers, case studies, and proposals; manage NDAs/MTAs and DocuSign workflows.
  • Customer ops: Coordinate sample shipments, track feedback/metrics, schedule demos, log and chase actions.
  • Market intel: Light competitive research; maintain a clean view of market segments and conference calendars.
  • Content & events: Help with LinkedIn posts, website tweaks, and conference logistics (booths, meetings, follow-ups).
  • RevOps hygiene: Keep HubSpot up to date; build simple dashboards; support forecasting.
  • Company ops (a bit of everything): Take meeting notes, organise travel, tidy the data room, update investor/customer trackers, assist with vendor onboarding and basic purchasing.

What you will bring

  • 2–3 years in BD/sales/ops/analyst roles (internships count).
  • Clear, concise writing; confident communicator on calls.
  • Strong organisation: lists, calendars, follow-through; you close loops.
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace, OneDrive, HubSpot/Pipedrive PowerPoint, and spreadsheets (pivot tables/basic formulas).
  • Eager to learn technical concepts (you don’t need to be a scientist, just curious).
  • Nice to have: presentation design & conference experience.
  • Mindset: proactive, positive, bias to action, comfortable with ambiguity, team player.

Growth path

Clear progression to Sales/Account Executive or Chief of Staff / Operations depending on your strengths.
