Position Summary
We are seeking a Chemist to join our lab team working on bio-oil fractionation and upgrading and organic chemistry synthesis. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fixed-bed reactors, organic synthesis, and characterization of complex organic mixtures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and troubleshoot fixed-bed reactor systems
- Perform bio-oil fractionation, upgrading, and sample preparation
- Conduct organic synthesis, purification, and reaction optimization
- Prepare catalysts, solvents, and reaction mixtures
- Analyze samples using techniques such as GC-MS, HPLC or related methods
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry+minimum 5 years of industrial experience
- Experience with fixed-bed reactors or flow reactor systems
- Organic synthesis experience required
- Experience with biomass-derived chemicals, catalysis, or fuel upgrading is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
