Title: Lead Engineer- Battery Design

Key Responsibilities:

⦁ Full product design responsibility, from concept through production and ramp-up.

⦁ Pragmatic evaluation of design concepts with idealization of physical effects and first principles reasoning approach.

⦁ Identification of test requirements in relation to stationary batteries, system and subsystem requirements.

⦁ Define pack architecture wrt cell positioning, interconnections and thermal management.

⦁ Specification definition (dimensional, functional, performance, manufacturing).

⦁ Designing critical battery components like busbars, cell holders, thermal interface

⦁ materials, pressure relief valves etc.

⦁ Work closely with cross functional teams to map out interdependencies specially -

⦁ Hardware, Chassis, Integration, CAE and validation teams

Key Skill Required:

⦁ B.tech/M.tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics.

⦁ 7-10 years of experience in battery or ESS design.

⦁ Sound understanding of lithium-ion batteries.

⦁ Proficient in CAD tools.

⦁ Proven ability to solve complex structural and thermal problems.

⦁ Expertise in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
