About the role
As a Logistics Associate, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, enhancing our product offerings, and fostering exceptional customer service. You will directly contribute to our growth and success in creating a greener world.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the planning and execution of road & sea transportation for our global network of buyers and sellers by working closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and transport providers whilst maintaining accurate and up-to-date information on Safi’s platform
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements for different modes of transport and geographies
Prepare and review shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin
Resolve any operational issues, such as delays or rollovers, and coordinate corrective actions
Coordinate the shipping process internally with Safi’s Quality & Fiance teams
Work with Logistics Team Lead and Product Team on process and tooling improvements
Requirements:
Experience in ocean logistics operations, gained through previous experience such as freight forwarding, or an in-house logistics department
Strong attention to detail, and eye for errors and omissions
Proactive, able to use their own initiative to manage operational escalations
Ability to develop a strong understanding of and manage the documentation/differing processes required for different export/import geographies
Able to work in an unstructured and dynamic environment to transform the recycling industry with technology
Fluent in English
Nice to have:
Working proficiency in Spanish or French
Experience dealing with customs and import/export processes relating to carriage of waste
