Thea Energy is leveraging recent breakthroughs in stellarator physics and engineering to create a faster and simpler approach to commercializing fusion energy. The company is reinventing the stellarator using computer-controlled arrays of planar coils thereby replacing the intricate, complex modular magnets required in all other stellarator architectures. Position Overview:
Thea Energy is seeking a driven Technical Program Management (TPM) MBA Intern. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering execution and strategic business objectives. Working alongside senior program managers and engineering leaders, you will help structure, optimize, and drive key operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with TPM leads to establish program frameworks, roadmap schedules, and resource plans.
- Identify operational bottlenecks across engineering, physics, and manufacturing workflows; implement lightweight process improvements using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration among various engineering, physics, and manufacturing departments.
- Provide regular, detailed program updates to leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, technical challenges, and proposed solutions.
Ideal Experience & Skillsets:
- Currently enrolled in a full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, returning to school after the internship.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of prior full-time work experience in engineering, technical project management, or operations management (hardware or advanced manufacturing contexts preferred).

- Salary range $25/hour
Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform activities such as typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.
