As our Mechanical Test Engineer, you'll be integral to ensuring the reliability and performance of our revolutionary Vega™ manufacturing system. You'll lead test development of HW systems for our R&D team by owning all test fixtures and stands, directly contributing to our mission of reducing global carbon emissions through automated, on-demand manufacturing.

Imagine walking through our facility and seeing a comprehensive array of test stands running automated validation cycles, providing critical data for our machine development. Your impact will be measured in:

• Successfully developing and commissioning multiple test fixtures that validate key machine components
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive test requirements that ensure targeted and effective tests leading to consistent quality across all systems
• Implementing efficient test plans that accelerate our development and deployment timeline while maintaining rigorous standards

Who You Are

Mechanical Design Expert: 4+ years experience with test stands and industrial automation, particularly with dynamic systems
Prototyping Specialist: Proven track record in rapid R&D prototyping and development Mechatronics Pro: Hands-on experience integrating motors, sensors, and controllers Test Infrastructure Developer: Skilled in test execution, data collection, and control scripting
Manufacturing Equipment Guru: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operations

A Typical Day Might Include

• Developing and commissioning new test fixtures for critical machine components
• Collaborating with design engineers to develop comprehensive test strategies
• Managing timeline and resources for multiple concurrent test stand projects
• Troubleshooting test infrastructure and implementing solutions
• Analyzing test data and presenting findings to stakeholders
• Having lunch with the team (we're a pretty social bunch!)

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $172,000 USD annually, plus equity.
