At Vaulted, we have an aggressive plan to rapidly grow our team and subsequent climate impact. As a Finance & Strategy Associate you will be a key member of the finance team reporting to the VP of Finance, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Corporate and Project Finance
- Develop and refine the corporate long-range planning model to support debt and equity capital raises
- Work with the business development and subsurface teams to build financial models to assess profitability and financing potential of new sites and geographies for Vaulted
- Assist in structuring and negotiating term sheets, credit agreements, and financing documents.
- Work with lenders, investors, and legal teams to close transactions efficiently
- Support analysis of optimal capital structures for both project-level and corporate-level financing
Corporate Strategy & Growth Initiatives
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy and capital allocation planning
- Provide strategic input on expansion into new markets, technologies, or partnerships
- Support the leadership team with ad-hoc financial analyses and decision support

They must also thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a growing team of ever-changing needs. In addition, we seek a candidate with:
- 2+ years of work experience in investment banking, consulting or related field, preferably with a focus on energy, climate, or industrials
- Experience with financial modeling, profitability analysis, and translating complex data into a clear and compelling story
- Ability to learn new things exceptionally quickly and to develop insight and a perspective on a new topic in a short period of time
- Excitement to get one’s hands dirty in complex projects, whether in the details of a financial model for a particular project or pulling data together to understand a growth strategy
- Excellent written and spoken interpersonal and communication with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including customers, business partners and team members. Capable of presenting complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Committed to sustainability with an understanding of the environmental, social, and economic benefits of carbon removal and/or climate change mitigation

The Fine Print
- This is a full-time role for Vaulted Deep, with a main office in Houston. We will consider remote candidates that are willing to move to the Houston area and provide a relocation assistance.
- This position will require some work travel, especially for those who are expecting to be remote, to our offices as well as our well sites (currently in Hutchinson, KS and Los Angeles, CA). Additional travel is expected to investors, lenders, industry conferences, and waste partner offices.
Salary
$95,000 - $115,000 per year
