Zeno is building a tech platform to electrify this two-wheeler market, currently responsible for more than 4% of the world’s GHG emissions. With a focus on East Africa as a starting point, Zeno is building a new energy ecosystem with ground-up development of a fundamentally better electric motorcycle and associated battery swap network to drive a better experience for our customers. The Role: The Area Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing a team of field sales agents across an assigned territory. This is a highly field-oriented role focused on driving customer acquisition through direct engagement with riders at boda boda stages, transport hubs, trading centres, and other high-potential locations. The Area Sales Supervisor ensures agents are effectively deployed, coached, and managed to consistently generate leads, convert customers, and achieve territory sales targets while building Zeno's presence and reputation within the local rider community. What You’ll Do: 1) Lead and Manage Field Sales Agents: directly supervise, coach, and motivate a team of field sales agents; set clear activity expectations; conduct regular field visits and ride-alongs; support recruitment, onboarding, and development of agents. 2) Drive Field-Based Customer Acquisition: ensure agents originate new customer leads through field prospecting; drive engagement at rider locations; monitor lead generation, engagement, and conversion; identify and replicate successful practices. 3) Own Territory Performance and Coverage: manage sales execution and agent deployment; ensure coverage of key catchment areas; identify underserved areas and growth opportunities; monitor competitors and adjust strategies. 4) Build Strong Relationships with the Rider Community: support relationships with riders, stage leaders, SACCOs, and influencers; maintain visible community presence; support activations, demos, and engagement initiatives. 5) Reporting, Discipline, and Execution Excellence: monitor attendance and process adherence; maintain accurate reporting; ensure professional brand representation; collaborate with credit, operations, and service teams for onboarding and conversion. What You Bring: Diploma or Bachelor's in Business/Sales/Marketing or related; 3–5 years in field sales/distribution/commercial ops with 2+ years managing teams; experience in FMCG/telecom/financial services/retail distribution or other high-volume sales; proven track record meeting targets; proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; strong leadership and coaching; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
